During his post-graduate diploma studies in Digital Business at Columbia Business School and MIT back in 2020 Svante Pahlman, the founder of DigitaBlue, got a vision that should come to shape DigitaBlue. The driving forces behind his idea were fairness. Fairness to access the vast business knowledge and opportunity to apply it for any company or entrepreneur.

The education environment was a perfect platform to develop the consept, and also to test, analyse it using the latest tools applicable to the digital business models.

By mid-2021 Svante Pahlman committed 100% of his time to the start-up. Soon he gathered a team of co-founders who shared the vision and commitment of turning the idea into a business.

February 10th, 2022 marks the event of founding DigitaBlue as a company. This day also marks the beginning phase zero of the start-up, when we begin creating and testing our technology.

Business wins concept competition

In April 2022 DigitaBlue participated in a business concept competition for renewable and competent Finland 2021 – 2027. On 8.12.2022 Finnish Centre for Economic Development, Transport, and the Environment published the results with DigitaBlue’s project, Butler’s Backend as a winner.


The 50.000€ funding will be used to develop the backend of our system. The development of our MVP is still on time, and we expect to test our MVP with a limited audience during Q1 2023.

Proof of technical concept 1.0

Things are really moving fast. In the development we are running on two weeks sprints, following the agile philsophy in a scrum framework.

Warm-up for marketing

We have entered a warm-up phase for marketing our services. In practice warm-up means that we are evaluating different channels on social media. What channels are relevant to an audience that could be interested in our products, how often shall we post, what are optimal times and days of the week for our targeted audience etc. In other words, we are trying to figure out the soul of different channels.


For time being we are evaluating LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google My Business. As social media management software we are testing Zoho Social

Prototype done

What an exciting time behind us! We worked side by side with the designers to create our product’s first prototype. It is such a pleasure to see how our vision, the result of many-many months of work, is shaping itself in front of our eyes.
